Information On A Rapid Adoption of Container enabled Environment, with Docker and Kubernetes.

Submitted by DataPrimeCloud on Mon, 11/25/2019 - 14:41

Information Technology Industry is experiencing a rapid adoption of container enabled environments, example Docker and Kubernetes.  These approaches enable applications to leverage the key features of these new environments, such that they are not just cloud hosted, but rather cloud-native. These environments, however, come with a learning curve, presenting new challenges for current developers who simply want to write, deploy, and debug their code quickly.  Below is a link to a blog titled "Codewind + Appsody + Tekton = Easier Cloud-Native Development."

For this post I am going to talk about the Cisco ASR 9000v. Cisco ASR 9000 Series router use nV technology to integrate access and edge functions. Using nV technology lets user dramatically reduce operational costs by simplifying the access and edge network and by delivering tremendous service and network scale through the use of the Cisco ASR 9000 distributed control plane, which extends feature processing to the access layer. One of the features I would like to talk about is ease of management for this router.

Submitted by DataPrimeCloud on Mon, 09/09/2019 - 21:17

For this post I am going to talk about FortiWeb, Fortinet’s Web Application Firewall. Remember a Web application firewall (WAF) is an application firewall for HTTP applications. A web application firewall will filters, monitors, and blocks HTTP traffic to and from a web application. It applies a set of rules to an HTTP conversation. Generally, these rules cover common attacks such as cross-site scripting and SQL injection.

Testing Fiber Optic Cabling & Systems for Loss.

Submitted by DataPrimeCloud on Thu, 09/05/2019 - 00:09

Found this Blog of Twitter from Fluke, information how to set a reference when it comes to testing fiber optic cabling & systems you have to take into account the connection loss of a mated pair of test reference cord by calibrating your tester to 0 dB of loss. Remember when it comes to testing fiber cabling & systems for connection loss refers to the loss of a mated pair of connectors, it’s actually impossible to measure a single connector. To test the loss of the first connection, it must be mated to a similar, known quality connection.
